Crash & Burn 10th Anniversary (Pt. 1)

10 years ago, I released two of my first albums as a collaboration with queer space webcomic, Crash and Burn. Initially they were Bandcamp exclusives, but now that a decade has passed, I thought it would be fun to remaster these pieces, and release them across platforms.

The songs were composed to be played alongside the comic (inspired by projects like Homestuck: Alterniabound), and were initially released in chronological order. Now, I am repackaging them out of order, based on broader themes. Crash & Burn 10th Anniversary (Pt. 1) features remastered instrumental electronic pieces about discovery of self, and determination.

MINOR SPOILERS FOR THE WEBCOMIC AHEAD.

Each song was inspired by a specific event in the comics. Without going into great detail, here is the story of each song:

  1. ytilaitnetoP fo rorriM: The characters discover the Mirror of Potentiality, a magical artifact.

  2. Chokma Speaks: Chokma, a mute slave on an world populated by avian aliens, finds his voice.

  3. Reactivated: A human mutant discovers her latent powers.

Crash & Burn 10th Anniversary (Pt. 2) will be related next month, featuring songs inspired by video games, in-world battles, and dangerous goose situations!
