Crash & Burn 10th Anniversary (Pt. 2)

Following behind last month’s project, it’s time for Crash & Burn 10th Anniversary (Pt. 2). This mini-EP is inspired by video game music, and focuses on setting.

MINOR SPOILERS FOR THE WEBCOMIC AHEAD.

Each song was inspired by a specific event in the comics, and some were also inspired by iconic video game music. Without going into great detail, here is the story of each song:

  1. LVL 1. (VR Fight Theme): An epic real-life video game battle ensues! This song was written with Pokemon battle music in mind.

  2. Ticket Farming (Info Booth Theme): Our characters enjoy attractions with earned amusement park tickets. This song was designed to bring the listener into the world of Wii or Animal Crossing shopping, visiting the virtual store.

  3. HONK (Swan Boat Theme): After a dramatic catastrophe, our protagonists are humiliated by having to escape on swan boats. No clowns were harmed in the making of this piece. Although this is the dumbest song I have ever created (so far), I am actually very happy with how effectively it conveys the embarrassing setting.

Crash & Burn 10th Anniversary (Pt. 3) will be related next month, featuring songs about power and control.
